What to expect

A full day, made for them.

No lectures-only, no talking down. A warm, hands-on day where young people learn something real, meet people who believe in them, and actually have fun doing it.

Hands-on workshops

Small, practical sessions — from goal-setting and study skills to money basics, creativity, and standing tall in who you are.

Real mentorship

Time with mentors from the neighborhood who've walked the road — honest conversations, not a script. Everyone leaves knowing someone in their corner.

Speakers worth hearing

Voices young people can see themselves in — elders, leaders, and doers from the Westside and beyond, sharing what actually helped them.

Good food, on us

Breakfast and a hot lunch, provided — because nobody learns hungry, and a shared meal is where the block becomes family.

Games & fun

Chess, activities, teams, prizes, and plenty of room to just be a kid. Serious growth, wrapped in a genuinely good time.

New friends

Leave with a wider circle — peers who are building something, and a community that keeps showing up long after the day ends.

Who it's for

The young people of the block — and their families.

The Youth Conference is for kids and teens across the Historic Westside, and the parents and grandparents who love them. Whether your family comes every Friday or has never set foot in the masjid, you belong here. Muslim or not, no cost, no paperwork, no judgment — just neighbors investing in neighbors.

Keep it free

Every workshop, meal, and prize is a gift from a neighbor.

The Youth Conference stays free because the block keeps it that way. Your gift feeds a hungry teen, stocks a workshop, and tells a young person: this community believes in you.
